How does ULTHERAPY work?

As usual with ultrasonic treatments, an applicator is placed on the skin and an image appears on the screen, just like with a normal pregnancy echo. The treating specialist can thus determine exactly where the energy is given. This same applicator is then used to deliver a certain amount of focused energy to precisely the right depth under the skin, namely in two layers: the deepest skin layer and underneath the fibromuscular layer; the positive, rejuvenating effect is thus initiated. All this without damaging the surface of the skin. In response to the heat generated, the production of new collagen is stimulated in two layers. The result is a gradual lifting effect, which leads to a tightening of the skin.
